Alessandro Ansuini

Alessandro, you're an inspired photographer, but you like to make many other things...

I play with a band called camera mix. I usually am the voice (speak poetry) but I play also guitar, bongos, synthetizer. We are not a band, we are an ensemble. Every concert we made is different. We use people of the area, if it's possible. For this summer, we plan the 3rd of august at London, the 10th Paris, the 17th Trieste, and the 22nd Amalfi, in Italy.

"Killing qwerty Tarantino"

So your main project is camera mix. And your goal with ?

To play in every part of the world without an agency or stuff like that. We like to be independent. Our strenght is the human heat, and friendship. And I cross the fingers, probably next year, I'll read (with camera mix) in Buenos Aires, in the university. In the last two years, we made seven different nations, so the situation is really cool.

"Shoes"

What did you make ? Shows ? Happenings ? Concerts ?

Every of that. We use video, photography. music, poetry. We play in universities, clubs, restaurants, bars, docks, metropolitans, theatres, discotheques. We change every time. We change also the people, the core is me and Enrico, but really a lot of people is involved in the ensemble.

"The black shoes"

You're also a writer.

I'm a poet. I published three books (officia) from the 2002, and I have an independent press, because I dont like official press, I'm not interesting in that. I made book by myself. It's my second big activity.

A word about your next step ?My project for the future is to work with video, poetry and music, and of course photography. There's a lot of ways to try, because, in one word, I'm a perfomer that uses and mixes different arts, and I want to continue on this way.

Welcome Sharon Yanai

Sharon Yanai at his official site.

"Soft and Sensual"

"Look"

Sharon Yanai, from Israel, is first a very good portraitist who has this special touch I find in the amazing work of Nikola Borissov... It means a very (very, very) beautiful one.

His photographs capture beautiful expressions, well balanced, in soft tones for a large part of his nudes, because he's also a Fine Art Photographer who works hard in his studio to give us his best. I must confess I'm impatient to see more outdoors shots ;)

He contacted me, he's a suscriber, a passionate reader, thanks !, and we decided to do this feature together. So "Welcome Sharon ! This place is yours."

"Looking at the Light"

"At the Window"

Sharon Yanai was born in Haifa, Israel in 1969.

Since he was young he loved photography and visual arts and was always with a camera at hand.

In the late 90's he started working as an amateur photographer volunteering for jobs including both video and stills photography.

In 2005 he made his first documentary movie accompanying a group of Israeli educators for a journey of a life time to Poland. This movie marked a stage in his love to photography thanks to the gratitude and appreciation he got both in Israel and Poland.

Some words just for us :

"Shout"

"I got my first camera when I was very young. I used it to document family trips and school events.

I have felt strong passion towards photography, for as long as I can remember, yet, only as I turned thirty I pursuing photography professionally.

Today, I am an art and fashion photographer who specializes in portraits, fashion and fine-art nudity.

As for my Fine-art nudity, I shoot mostly at the studio which is a very relaxed environment that supports creativity.

I use lights as part of the set decoration and not only for lighting the model. I try to build the shoot together with the model and make her a partner in creation. Throughout my experience I have discovered that the more the model is involved in the process of making the photos the better results will follow."

Welcome Santiago Hernández (aka Caraban)

Santiago Hernández (aka Caraban)

"La gula"

"La libertad"

"La nostalgia"

From Tenerife, Canary Islands, Santiago Hernández is a nude photographer working mainly in soft tones of B&W. It's his choice, his preference and he's so right :

" I am a lover of the artistic nude in black and white who started to learn and practise very young."

Obsessional photographer, I follow him since a long time for his inspired way to approach different subjects with success.

"La desidia"

I like his settings, his imagination in the poses, the titles of his photographs.

I also clearly see the famous "Golden Ratio" in a lot of his compositions. The Renaissance artists knew it as the Divine Proportion and used it for beauty and balance in the design of art.

You can't miss it in his work if you take the time to admire each image shown here, if you go beyond these famous 3 seconds that a majority of people think enough to appreciate an artwork. But we're not like them, isn'it ?
