Welcome Michael Papendieck

Michael Papendieck at his official site, Photodom, deviantART, Model Mayhem,

"Boxes"

"Rodinesk"

You're numerous to like the first features. And I know why : it's my most difficult exercise, hours and hours of research. Yes, it's always a tough job to find new words to describe all the talent I see.

And a great challenge to introduce such a confirmed artist than Michael Papendieck.

Honoured, multi-awarded, renowned, and so inspired, Michael Papendieck lives in Braunschweig, Germany, where live also Thorsten Jankowski and Marc Hoppe, three friends working on the form, carving with their cameras like Rodin with his chisels.

In his work, we feel that each detail has its importance and confers an overall elegance that will never fall out of fashion. Light, tones, compositions, poses, imagination... when talent meet beauty, the result is always sparkling.

Just watch and admire, you'll understand what I mean.

"Anna... again"

" Am I an erotic photographer ? Erotic is mainly a question of the point of view. But if I would have been asked... I think I am.

Just "invest" a little time to look at my portfolio and decide on your own.

"Lights off"

In my "former life" I finished my scientific carreer in Biology. Nature and wildlife photography led my to different places to all over the world.

Fine art nude photography is a result of 15 years of dancing and lots of sport where I always have been surrounded by good looking ladies which know how to act, to move, to play with an audience. This inspires my work until now.

To catch moments. Even if I build body sculptures.

"Round"

From Michelle 7 :

"Toe"

" Michael Papendieck is a freelance photographer from Germany.

He's been shooting picture since he was eleven years old, largely inspired by his grandfather, whom Michael remembers always carrying a camera about.

Interestingly, Michael's other art form is dancing. It's something he's been doing for almost twenty years now.

It relates very well to photography, he says, in its use of multi-dimensionality and its interplay of light and shadow.

In addition to his grandfather, he says he's inspired by the photography of Peter Lindbergh, Igor Amelkovich and his good friend Thorsten Jankowski."

"Folded"

From Edaab :

"Black Spider"

" Michael Papendieck is a virtuoso in dealing with people and in conducting the human form.

His works have a visual force that get their energy from the physiques of the portrayed.

Guided by spatial implications and influenced by his own expierence as active dancer, the pictures are never ornaments, they convince by clean static, alternating with significant momentum.

The interplay of light and individual body is the largest source of inspiration. And despite all the abstraction he remains on the people themselves, what is always obvious by the proximity of the portraits."

Welcome Thomas J. Lane

Thomas J. Lane at his official site, deviantART.

"Framed"

"Ladder I"

Thomas J. Lane is a professional (and passionate) photographer from Chicago, USA. I wanted to exhibit him in this site owing to the power of his work.

Beyond the strong sensuality and the impressive diversity of his pictures, here is a photographer who has something original to tell us and his creativity knows no bounds.
From raw fetish portraits to fine artistic nudes, his work is always very expressive and never unjustified. I like his compositions, his way to direct his beautiful models, his titles, and to make short his open mind.

"Parabolic"

I'm a photographer. Commercial, editorial and event photography pay the bills. But my passion is creating art, specifically fine art nudes.

People have said I have no particular style. I'm rather proud of that fact. I try to bring a special and unique look to each of my shoots. And I can still sometimes surprise myself with the results.

Welcome Michal Tokarczuk

" We decide to take photos because we are feeling something, we look at photos because it makes us feel something." Michal Tokarczuk

Michal Tokarczuk at his journal, deviantART, photosight, Model Mayhem.

"Ho humm"

"Blues..."

"Blues again..."

Michal Tokarczuk (aka Eelmika) is a freelance photographer living in Cracow, Poland, above all interested in capturing body form and human expressions.

Self called for the fun "extraordinary photographer for hire", Michal Tokarczuk is indeed a good one working on a wide range of themes.

Inside, outside, in black and white, sepia and color, from fine art nudes to landscapes pictures, nothing can stop his prolific inspiration.

"Manic Mechanic 149"
Art Model Kodoq

Michal Tokarczuk is specialized in fine art nudes and portraits, but he's doing almost any kind of pictures : fetish, erotica, conceptual, architecture, kids, sports, weddings, concerts, events, photosets for models, photosets for covers, band shooting and street photography.

Self-Portraitist Minon

"Lullaby"

"1001"

Minon is an "experimental" photographer who lives in Berlin, Germany, and her main model.

Self-portraiture is not an easy exercise, Rachel Lovitt :
" For me, self-portrait photography is a journey of self-empowerment. On this journey, I am empowered to explore, examine, and reflect upon my own values and aesthetics, my own body, and sense of who I am.

In photographing myself, I am finding myself. Sometimes, the discovery and resulting image is beautiful and inspiring. Other times, it is sorrowful or even frightening.

Self-portraiture demands that I look at myself, perhaps more deeply than ever before. I have not always liked what I have seen and learned about myself, but I have never regretted taking a single photograph." Rachel Lovitt

"Minon"

Minon succeeds in this so much difficult style, with an endless creativity I would like to have in all my texts. As beautiful as an angel and divinely inspired, I watch her since a long time.

Working mostly in black & white and natural light, her gallery at deviantART is full of sensitive and very expressive pictures. Till now, her work is certainly one of the greatest assembly of self-portraits I've ever seen.

Catphrodite joins us

" My pleasure and my purpose is to work with creative minds in order to bring vision into being." Catphrodite

Catphrodite at deviantART, Model Mayhem.

Catphrodite by Olaf Starorypinski
"Little Red Riding Nori"

Modeling is an art and models are muses, as you see it daily here inside, for example Betcee May for David LeBeck or Muse for David Charles, and so on...

All the contributing photographers of this site never forget to thank them for the wonderful pictures they couldn't make without the talent of their lovely models. And Catphrodite is a gifted (and wonderful) one, inspired and inspiring artist that I'm deeply honoured to welcome in these pages.

"The light half"

I'm a fine art and figure model living in the Lehigh Valley in eastern Pennsylvania, USA.

I'm far enough away from the bigger cities to consider myself a country girl, yet close enough to them that I can hop on a bus and be in the center of things in two hours. It's a nice balance of things.

I'm a mixed breed French-Canadian / Scots-Irish / Blackfoot female, raised by a family of Slovenian / Polish / Czech people who are descended from circus folk. I kid you not.

I've been modeling for over five years, although I didn't start until my late 20s. I've worked with numerous photographers and artists and have traveled to some interesting locations.

"Laughing on the job"

I'm a raven haired, well-balanced, bendy type creature. My pleasure and my purpose is to work with creative minds in order to bring vision into being. I'm a model, always willing to portray self and shades of self.

I model as a means of expression. I truly enjoy working with photographers to make a vision come to life. I've never looked at this as a way to find fame. I'm in fact quite content to live a quiet existence out of the spotlight. Unless, of course, the spotlight is part of a photographer's lighting arrangement.

"Light Chair 1"

I'm also a college student, working toward getting my degree in Biology. I'm fascinated by the intricate workings of nature, and am in awe of the abundance and diversity of life in all its forms.

Gabriel Saplontai's first feature

Look how much it's simple to contribute :

Gabriel : I would like to contribute to Univers d’Artistes.I’m a portrait and fine art nude photographer leaving in Belgium.
Me : Yes Gabriel ! I like your style !!! ;) OK. I need your bio and the photographs you would like to see published. Maybe a portrait of you ?

And that's it.

Yes, I was immediatly attracted by his photographs. And proud, happy, honored!, to welcome such an artist in our community.

There is something strong in his work, powerful, with this talent to capture the emotion of his art models. Gabriel is able to make us feel...

He began to shoot in 2003, only seven years, but he already belongs his own touch, what I call a style or a vision.

For all these reasons, his passion included, you know me, here he is, featured, linked, and definitive member of Univers d'Artistes.

Welcome on board Gabriel !
And a big thank for your kindness and trust ;)

"I was born in 1981, somewhere in the Romanian Carpathians, now living in Belgium.

I discovered photography in 2003 and since then some of the empty parts of my mind and soul, little by little, began to fill.

All this “playing with the light” started about 5 years ago when I bought a camera from my first salary. I began to love this game because it helped me to communicate in some way. Now, almost everything around me is related to photography.

I'm using a medium format camera, Hasselblad 500C with the Zeiss Planar 80mm CF lens and a Nikon F80 for street photos.
Some of the picture on my Blog are taken with my first Medium format camera, a Mamiya M645j. Most of the time I use B&W films at low speed developed in my bathroom :)

I like nude photography and even if I find it very difficult I’m trying to approach it.

Nothing compares with a nude female body and with a camera you can show that to the others.
