'Denisa Strakova is a world-class model and a legend in the nude-photography scene and has worked with some of the finest photographers in the world.

It is a great honour to have her in my studio and I have decided she would be the perfect model for my first workshop on fine-art sculptural nudes. In this one-day workshop, we will focus on sculptural nudes and go through the classic lighting and poses most often used.'

Colin Vickers sent me these beautiful photographs. But who is he ? A talentend, renowned and multi-awarded fine art photographer. And as Lucien Clergue, Jean Jacques André, Jeff Wack and André Brito, I forget a lot, he stays simple and friendly. I love that, you know all of me since 10 years. Sometimes the fame can be a malediction, but he avoids the traps. That said, his work is prodigious :

I am an English fine-art photographer living in Vienna, Austria.

I see myself as a minimalist and a perfectionist and I think this shows a lot in my work.

I am heavily influenced by modern fine-art nude photographers and by the Renaissance masters, and I inspire to bring these two genres together in order to create unique and timeless masterpieces that will look fabulous on anyone's living room wall.

Most of my subjects are normal people and not professional models, and I will bring their personalities into my pieces which I feel gives my work a very personal and emotional connection to the subjects. My work has won many international awards, has been featured on the covers of books and magazines, and can be found on display at many locations in Vienna.

My studio is in Vienna's 7th district but I will also work at London studios, or on location if needed. I am available for sittings or commissioned work, and I often give workshops for other photographers/artists.

The best of Christina Ricci

Christina Ricci is pretty well modeling but she is not an Art Model, I don't confuse. But with Emmanuelle Béart, they are the two exceptions to the rule : stars are not models. Not at all. That said and signed, these photographs of Christina Ricci deserves a look. When I saw them, I forgot her celebrity to admire the good work she did with talented photographers.

The passion of Rudi Amedeus

A new member of UdA

I feel fortunate that my subjects embrace working with me, trust me, invite me into their intimate universe in an open and honest way sharing their soul. I relish every moment of this photographer-subject relationship and cherish the bond that is created with the people I photograph.

It is easy to have new Facebook friends but a little less to build a true relation. From like to love to comments to shares, Rudi and I became closer :
- My dear Master, I have found all what I need to write a beautiful article !
- You are the Master Chris.
I blushed...

I appreciate his work, of course, and also the man behind the camera.Rudi Amedeus is a multi-talented photographer in all genres. B&W addicted, I don't remember one photograph I don't tag :
- I love all, my friend !
And I imagine his smile.

Now, showtime ! Let's hear Master Rudi Amedeus :

I fell in love with photography at age 8 when I received an all plastic Diane camera and few rolls of 120 film. Developing film and printing images was expensive for a boy of little means and the passion was put on hold for the pursuit of music, drawing, painting and technical hobbies.

Fully engulfed in music composition and the development of computer controlled electronic synthesizers in my early twenties, photography then was a means to document my technology projects. In the mid 80's I developed a hybrid analog/digital camera and was back at the creative and technology side of this art developing hardware and software in a exponentially expanding technololy field. This chain of events resulted in my life-long pursuit of beauty and convergence of art and technology in both digital music and imaging technologies.

I capture landscapes, cityscapes, bodyscapes with the same ease and passion as the intimate portrait.

Love struck merciless when I discovered my true passion photographing people with all the empathy a life has instilled in me. I've never looked back since then I use this expressive medium in digital and film in a variety of formats as my way to observe the world through a viewfinder as a means to tell a story. Photography has provided me with opportunities to meet new people, experience different cultures worldwide and explore my surroundings with an open mind.

I feel fortunate that my subjects embrace working with me, trust me, invite me into their intimate universe in an open and honest way sharing their soul. I relish every moment of this photographer-subject relationship and cherish the bond that is created with the people I photograph.

My artistic vision always aims to document each subject's beauty, complexity, uniqueness and intimacy, creating images saturated with raw emotion.

Photography for me is a way of living life through a viewfinder or even an old-fashioned wooden camera ground-glas, capturing and documenting how I see the world around me regardless of subject. I prefer not to segment myself, I truly believe an artist should be at home in all the aspects of the chosen craft and hone the required transferable skills. I capture landscapes, cityscapes, bodyscapes with the same ease and passion as the intimate portrait. I'm passionate being behind the camera and I'm equally passionate turning the raw images into the impression of the moment using darkroom processes. I craft and mold the image till I re-live the memory of seeing, connecting, feeling, sharing.

I often strive for an uncluttered view in my images and isolate the subject from distracting backgrounds to ease the eye of the viewer into the story. The majority of my work aims to document each subject's beauty, complexity, uniqueness, shock-value and intimacy, creating images saturated with emotion and wonder.

As for my work with people, I love to explore the body and I'm fascinated with faces and how emotion is communicated in the often complex photographer/sitter-model relationship, always exploring emotion, angles, space, reflection, light, tonality, heart and soul.
