I have two main types of images: the studio and outdoors.
Outdoors I
always try to incorporate the model to nature. Sometimes I try to model
assumes an animal pose, always powerful, and perhaps that is the most
sensual part of my photos. In my studio, I have two types of images: the
pure graphics, mainly symmetries, strange ways I try to build with the
human body, and also photos with positions effort, with more movement.
The musculature is always highlighted by lighting.

I believed that André Brito was unaccessible because he is too busy, because of his worldwide fame, but I was wrong. He's certainly overbooked but, as all the great Artists I publish with an endless passion and a deep respect, he told me quickly yes when I sent him my request for an article about him. Thank you André 😌.
I could write about his skilled use of lights and shadows, his creative poses and compositions, his addiction to BW and dancers, his "no title", but you know I prefer to write about the emotions I feel when I contemplate a photography. Those of André Brito are powerful and each one gives us all of his prodigious inspiration and great talent.

Photographing the female body and presenting it without a face, without
an identity, I achieve more easily, so any woman can be seen in that
body, she can identify with, she can feel it, she can feel her
strength. If the face was visible and that body would have
an "owner", it could be harder for anyone viewing the image to "feel" in
it. But besides that, I protect the identity of the model as well.
Although in my images woman is dignified, in Portugal is still difficult
to treat nude in a natural way.

André Brito is a photographer born in Porto, Portugal, in 1972. From childhood he had a very close relationship with photography thanks to his father, who spent hours in the darkroom, witnessing the "miracle of develop".
"One of the secrets of my work, especially in the study, is the fact of being a perfectionist: if the image is not 100%, I will not desist until I get it.
I think nude is always a special challenge, in the sense that it is a discipline that is more susceptible to criticism for personal and moral values. In addition to portray a person, we're exposing their bodies, hence there has to be much more careful by the photographer. There is also the fact that the nude has been portrayed even before the advent of photography, hence it is a discipline in which it is very difficult to innovate...
In addition to lure the beauty of the female body, I like the challenge of portraying differently than usual in this discipline. I like to show a strong and powerful woman, not the usual fragile and sensitive woman.
Most of my studio images are only a body and light and if that light does not work, does not work the image. The body may be in a precise, perfect position, but if the light is not compatible, if an interesting combination is not achieved, the image will not work. To get that combination requires some skill, yes, but more than technique requires experience and sensitivity."
